#answer-share

Answer share

The proportion of relevant generative-search answers in which a brand is named or cited — the GEO equivalent of share of voice, replacing ranking position as the leading indicator of organic visibility.

Defined in: SEO vs GEO

#answer-shaped-content

Answer-shaped content

Writing structured so that each section answers one real question completely and independently in its opening sentences, so that a generative engine can quote the passage without the surrounding page.

Defined in: Answer-Shaped Content

#demand-infrastructure

Demand infrastructure

The layer that finds, educates, qualifies and routes buyers before they reach a supplier — content, search and AI-search visibility, comparison tools and qualification flows — operated as a business in its own right rather than as one supplier’s marketing function.

#digital-succession

Digital succession

The transfer of a small, profitable, owner-operated digital business to a new operator when the founder steps back — and the absence of the advisory, valuation and intermediary infrastructure that exists for traditional small companies.

Defined in: The Digital Succession Problem

#distribution-first

Distribution-first

Building the channel that reaches a market before building the product sold through it, so that demand exists on the day the product ships — treating distribution as a founding decision rather than a post-launch activity.

Defined in: Distribution-First

#geo-audit

GEO audit

A structured evaluation of whether a website can be retrieved, extracted, identified, trusted and cited by generative search engines, assessed across five layers: retrievability, extractability, entity clarity, authority and measured presence.

Defined in: The GEO Audit

#verification-tax

Verification tax

The time cost of checking machine-generated output. Because errors in generated work are fluent rather than obvious, review is slower than for human work — and any honest measure of automation leverage subtracts verification time from time saved.

Answer share and the GEO audit are how we measure the distribution layer. The Tier diagnostic tells you whether it’s the one you’re missing.
