Cookie Policy
Last updated · 23 September 2026
This page lists every cookie that thinktier.io can place on your device, who provides it, what it does and how long it lasts. We keep this list short on purpose.
How consent works on this site
Until you choose, this site loads no analytics scripts and sets no analytics cookies. Only one first-party cookie is written — tt_consent — and only after you make a choice in the banner. Your choice is honored across pages and on return visits.
We use Google Consent Mode v2 with the default state set to “denied” for analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. The state flips to “granted” only for the categories you accept.
You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website may store on your device to remember information between visits. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels and SDKs. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and §103⁹ of the Estonian Information Society Services Act (InfoTS), placing any non-essential cookie requires your prior, informed consent.
Cookies we use
The table below lists every cookie this site can place. Names with an asterisk or angle brackets denote a family of cookies whose suffix depends on the configured ID.
| Name | Category | Provider | Purpose | Retention | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| tt_consent | Necessary | Thinktier OÜ | Stores your cookie preferences on this device. Without it, the banner would appear on every page. | 6 months | First-party |
| tt_tier_reading (session storage) | Necessary | Thinktier OÜ | Keeps the result of the Tier diagnostic — the tier only, never your answers — so the contact form can offer to attach it. Never sent anywhere unless you send the form with it ticked. | Until you close the tab | First-party |
| _ga | Analytics | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | Distinguishes unique users for Google Analytics 4. IP is anonymized before storage. | Up to 2 years | First-party |
| _ga_<container-id> | Analytics | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | Persists session state for the specific GA4 property. | Up to 2 years | First-party |
| _clck | Analytics | Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. / Microsoft Corp. | Persists a Clarity user ID across sessions to deduplicate visits. | 1 year | First-party |
| _clsk | Analytics | Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd. / Microsoft Corp. | Stitches together the page views inside a single Clarity session. | 1 day | First-party |
| MUID | Analytics | Microsoft Corp. | Microsoft-wide user identifier used by Clarity for syncing analytics across Microsoft services. | 1 year | Third-party |
| ANONCHK | Analytics | Microsoft Corp. | Validates the MUID and confirms the cookie was set in the user’s browser. | 10 minutes | Third-party |
Tools that do not set cookies on your device
- Google Search Console — uses a meta-tag in the page head to verify site ownership and reports aggregated search performance to us. It does not write cookies on visitors’ devices.
Strictly necessary technologies
The tt_consent cookie is strictly necessary to deliver a service you have explicitly requested (remembering your choice). Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive it is exempt from consent — but we still disclose it here.
How to refuse or remove cookies
- Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of this site to change your choice at any time, or to withdraw a previously given consent.
- Configure your browser to block all cookies, third-party cookies only, or to alert you when one is being set. Instructions are available in your browser’s help pages.
- To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Updates to this policy
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we will update the table above and the “Last updated” date. If the change introduces a new category of cookies, you will see the banner again so you can make a fresh choice.
